The British American Tobacco is the world’s secound biggest tobacco company. On Nov 16. 2007 Biokarma Ltd. and BAT have signed an agreement to start the R&D project. After the R&D finish and they develop the new IonXtra cigarette-filter British American Tobacco will start the production of IonXtra filtered cigaretts.

IonXtra is a ceramics made from volcanic ashes and natural mineral elements, using nano-technologymanufacturing process. The maincharacteristics of IonXtra is the constantly self-generation of ultra-infrared radiation and minus anion that have good effects to human health. IonXtra don’t have any toxic substance at all; rather have good effect on human body and the environment as well.
